| 2007 Rules and Regulations TOTAL * DESTRUCTION * DEMO * PRODUCTIONS * LLC www.TotalDestructionDemo.com CARS MUST REMAIN STOCK UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. IF IT IS NOT IN THE RULES, IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN DO IT. 1. Derby is open to any hard tops and wagons. NO 4x4’s. No Imperials or Imperial Sub-Frame Cars. 2. Things in Red Type are New Items for this derby. MUST BE MOUNTED FROM THE FIRE WALL TO ROOF. MUST BE MOUNTED FROM THE FIRE WALL TO ROOF. 4. GAS TANKS-MUST be moved to the back seat area, securely fastened, and completely covered with a metal cover. NOTE: Older model cars with separate electric fuel pumps must be mounted to the firewall under the hood, NOT inside. Newer cars with pumps inside the tank must remain inside the tank. 5. FRAME- No alterations or reinforcements to frame. No painting or undercoating of frames. No Imperial sub-frames allowed (NO EXCEPTIONS). ZERO TOLERANCE 6. TRANSMISSION- Floor shifters are allowed. 7. BRAKES- All cars must have and will be checked for brakes and air cleaner. 8. BUMPERS- May be welded or chained - whatever it takes to keep them on the car. 9. REAR ENDS- May be welded (No coil to leaf-spring alteration). 10. DOORS- Must be chained, wired, OR welded. They can be welded solid. 11. DRIVER COMPARTMENT- Four Point Cage can be inserted. This cage CANNOT be welded or bolted to the Frame or Subframe, it can be welded or bolted to the floor. You can put a HALO Bar in your car to keep the roof from crushing down in the event of a rollover. This is to keep it from caving in - maximum diameter is 3”. 12. EXHAUST- Must extend beyond driver’s seat or you may run stacks. 13. FAN BLADES- Must be clutch type with shroud OR electric fan OR no fan at all. 14. FENDERS & INNER- Cutting, folding, or bending is permitted. 15. HOOD & TRUNK- All hoods can be wired, chained down or bolted, not bigger than 4 1/2 inch bolts, and must have an 18” hole in it. Trunk lids must be wired, bolted, chained, OR welded. You can fully weld the trunk. No hood latches. 16. SUSPENSION- Car should be in the 20” range to center of bumper. NO MODIFICATION OF SUSPENSION. 17. BATTERY- May be left under hood or moved to passenger side floor (must be held down by 2 straps and covered with rubber mat). 18. TIRES- Any 2-4-6-8 ply tires allowed. Inner tubes are allowed. No forklift tires or tow motor tires allowed. Wheel weights must be removed. 19. ANTI-FREEZE- NOT allowed - only clear water. If seen, you will be disqualified. Flush motor block with water. 20. DRIVER DOOR & FRONT PASSENGER DOOR- Must be painted white. Numbers will be painted in black. 21. ALL CARS MUST BE AT THE TRACK TWO HOURS PRIOR TO SHOW. 22. All cars will be rigidly inspected. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL. 23. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid license. 16 or 17 year- olds with a valid license must have a Minor Release Waiver signed by a legal guardian. All drivers must fill out an entry form and sign a release waiver. 24. Shows will consist of Heats and a Feature. Number of cars in each heat may vary. Prizes to Heat winners and Feature winners based on Total Purse entries. 25. ALL DRUGS AND ALCOHOL ARE PROHIBITED. 26. Any contestant not obeying the rules and regulations will be disqualified. 27. All contestants will have one minute to restart and/or make contact with a live car. NO TRAPPING WILL BE ALLOWED. All drivers must stay in their cars while on the track. NO SMOKING IN CAR OR ON TRACK. 28. We will stop the event for fire, accident, or safety equipment not being used properly. 29. Safety belts, eye protection, and DOT helmets are required. Long sleeve shirts and pants must be worn - shorts are not acceptable. 30. There is no limit to the number of cars you enter, but each car pays the same entry fee. Entry fees are NON-refundable. 31. Family members or volunteers of TDDP are not permitted to enter. UNDER 16 PROHIBITED IN PIT AREA. 32. Any cars not removed by 6:00 AM the next day are property of promoter or fair. 33. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL - WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL ENTRIES. |
